Bahria Town Karachi challenges CM Buzdar Claims and emerges Stronger

Property News

With all the legal complexities encountered by Bahria Town Karachi in the face of Supreme Court’s Decision, the Thunder clouds are finally vanishing away and Bahria Town Karachi is rising for the better with a firm stance in hand. Bahria Town Karachi has thrown a curve ball and challenged CM Buzdar’s Claims that Bahria Town’s Lawyer Azhar Siddique states as “misconceived facts” and misplaced allegations that need substantial evidence to proof likewise. Bahria Town Karachi is a huge estate worth millions of rupees and provides employment to thousands of people in Pakistan, and these allegations without any solid proof are shaking up trouble and economic crisis in the country.

The chief minister on Thursday had claimed that three cases of illegal land acquisition have surfaced against Bahria Town Lahore. “In the first one, Bahria Town illegally occupied 47 kanals and 15 marlas of state land belonging to Punjab Cooperatives Board for Liquidation (PCBL). The cost of this land is Rs2.35 billion whereas, in the second one, it illegally occupied 59 kanals of Punjab Auqaf Department’s land worth Rs1.77 billion,” Bahria Town also started a number of housing societies, including Bahria Orchard II, III, IV and Icon Valley to name a few, without the approval of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), due to which losses worth Rs1.12 billion were inflicted to the national exchequer, the chief minister had claimed.

Mr.Azhar Siddique on response to these accusations stipulated legal evidence and said stated of such magnitude against any corporate entity can have serious consequences not only to the repute of the organization but also meltdown the economy as the employment of thousands of people becomes endangered.

Siddique refuted the CM’s claim that Bahria Town had grabbed the land of the PCBL and said, “Actually, the PCBL land was acquired through a joint account of the Services Cooperative Society and Bahria Town.”

“Do you believe that Bahria Town was stupid enough to construct a seven-star hotel and a community center worth millions of rupees on someone else’s land? Actually, it is Bahria Town’s land that is occupied by PCBL.” The High Court also ordered a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) probe into the case following which it was proved that Bahria Town had not done anything illegal. It was just a mistake,” Siddique said.

Moreover, according to the CM, the price of the land is Rs2.35 billion, which too is incorrect. He [Buzdar] does not even know the difference between raw land and developed land,” Siddique said and added that CM Buzdar leveled the allegations “without doing any homework”.

Similarly, we reject the allegations regarding Ittefaq Foundry’s 240-kanal land. Bahria Town has nothing to do with it and there is not even a single inch of state land within Al-Rahmat Housing Society.” There were only 4 kanals of small industries land which is already in their possession, he said.

Apex Opinion

Bahria Town Karachi is getting more determined to prove all these false accusations as null and void and it has also been proved guilt-free by different investigative authorities like NAB. Mr.Buzdar flat-out accused Bahria Town Karachi without having the in-depth knowledge of the land value and negative reputation at stake. Bahria Town Karachi by challenging the false claims proved themselves as clean of any fraudulent activity and in a matter of few days when the re-bidding of 14,617 acres of Sindh Land will occur, It seems obvious Bahria Town will buy back the property and begin development for the construction of houses there. So investment in Bahria Town Karachi is secure and safe with the bounty of facilities and world-class residence and we highly recommend investors to buy land now rather than later when the property price jerks up after all the confusions are cleared out in the market.
