LDA allows Commercial Activities on 10 main Highways in Lahore

The civic body, Lahore Development Authority (LDA), allowed to begin commercial activities on ten main highways in Lahore. In a recent meeting of the LDA’s governing body, it has been approved to demolish the 23 Kanals of residential plots in Sabzazar Scheme J Block.

This decision was made by the meeting of governing body held under the Vice-Chairman of LDA, Naeem-ul-Haq, on Saturday. The body also directed the DG LDA to hold an early draw to allot plots to the remaining victims of LDA Avenue One.

Moreover, the meeting approved the increase in Area Development Project. Given improving the security of Kurban Line Police, LDA workshop land near Sherpao Bridge will be allotted to Punjab Police Department.

Here are the roads approved for commercial activities:

• Barki Road
• Multan Road to Raiwind Road on Defence Road
• Link Raiwind Road to PIA Extension on PIA Road
• Jail Road to Mall Road on Maulana Zafar Ali Road
• Thokar Niaz Beig to Shahkam Chowk on Canal Road
• From Thokar Niaz Baig to Defence Road on Raiwind Road
• From Canal Road to Wapda Town on Johar Town Bypass Road
• Shaukat Khanum Road to Raiwind Road on Khayaban-e-Jinnah Road
• Model Town Link Road to Railways Crossing on Maulana Shaukat Ali Road

The committee sought suggestions for coordination and registration between the real estate dealers and the LDA. While the governing body approved the commencement of commercialization activities on ten streets of the city.
