PM Imran Khan laid Foundation Stone for Gwadar International Airport

Prime Minister Imran Khan performed the groundbreaking ceremony of Gwadar International Airport today i.e. 29th March 2019. The groundbreaking event was graced by many significant personalities Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Commander Southern Command, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal, ministers, and the Chinese ambassador were in attendance.

The $230 million airport project in Gurandani, 26 km east of Gwadar city, is funded by China. Mr. Imran Khan will also be expected to visit the Gwadar free zone and harbor as well as an expo in the area. Big planes will also be able to land at the airport having a capacity of 30,000 tons cargo annually.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on the occasion stated that the government would clean Gwadar and recycle water.

“Under the Clean and Green Pakistan project, 10 million plants will be planted. We will link Gwadar to the national grid,” he said.

The prime minister said that health cards would be issued to the people. “We will construct bridges for fishermen. A train will be launched from Quetta to Gwadar,” he said.

 

Prime Minister Imran Khan also performed the groundbreaking ceremony of Quetta-Zhob Motorway N-50 and a health complex.
