7 Creative Ways to bring Positive Energy in Your Home

Home Decoration

Home is where the heart is, isn’t it right? And our heart will never be attached to a place that doesn’t depict nature and nurture or rejuvenate our senses with an overwhelming feeling of “Belonging”. We would instantly label any place as home & hearth that automatically emits positive energy and soulful vibes with a subconscious connection to peace and health. With the drastic era of technology and fast-track lifestyle home decoration has shifted towards a minimalistic approach with simple yet less crowded furniture and organized interior, it is a bit difficult to encourage a home to look aesthetically cozy and energetic.

There are some very simple tricks and hacks to develop an aura of “cheerfulness” and forced gaiety in a home that will create an outburst of inspiration for homeowners as well as the guests.

  1. Get an Essential Oil Diffuser

Essential Oil Diffuser is my all-time favorite way to bring positivity and aroma in a room that will alleviate stress, negative emotions, and promote sleep, concentration levels and delicious mood.

Some of the most highly effective and recommended essential oil diffusers include,

  • Sweet Orange Oil promotes creativity
  • Bergamont reduced stress
  • Frankincense improves emotional balance
  • Lavender calms the nerves
  • Ylang Ylang soothes the anger and anxiety

      2.  Declutter your Home

A clean, clutter-free space will provide you with a sense of peace and calm. It’ll help ease your mind because you won’t constantly look around thinking about how you “need to clean that up” or “need to organize that.” Clutter produces physical and unconscious chaos. Not only can it leave you scrambling to find the keys as you are racing out the door but it can weigh on you even when you are sitting at your desk 20 miles away. So, Conquer your clutter and create space inside your home for other activities.

    3. Adopt a Pet or Plants

A home that lacks natural beauty and essence of color symmetry is simply plain and unsophisticated so add as many flowers as possible at every nook and cranny. A bouquet of fresh yellow roses or pink tulips placed on a crystal Waterford vase will instantly light up the mood, and many flowers such as English Ivy, Peace lily and Bamboo Palm help purify the air.

Fresh flowers also have aroma therapeutic properties, similar to the benefits of essential oils. I love the smell of fresh roses, so having a vase of them on my kitchen table helps create a peaceful environment. A fluffy ball of pup or soft kittens will string up your heart with their playful activities and increase buoyancy in homes.

     4. Use Bright Colors

Color impacts you on an emotional, psychological and physical level. Brighter homes with more exposure to natural light are linked to a more positive state of mental health, whereas dim or ill-lit homes are generally found to be linked to depression and low-energy. Add more lamps, open up the shades, and purchase brighter, more powerful bulbs in order to transform and enhance the positive energy in your living space.

      5. Make a Vision Board

A vision board is a collage of images and words that depict how you envision your future. This gives you "a visual reminder of the things you want to manifest in your life so that you can learn to be present and allow more positivity.” Be aware of the items in your home that are associated with undesirable feelings. By removing this "bad mojo" you will be one step closer to creating a serene space.

     6. Use a Himalayan Salt Lamp

Himalayan Salt Lamp are aesthetically pleasing, and looking at pretty things makes us happy. The light emitted from Himalayan salt lamps is soft, calming, and soothing. And because the light is amber colored, they work great as low light lamps or night lights. They also blend in very nicely with virtually any home décor. Their primary function is to purify the air. Salt attracts water molecules. Therefore, the Himalayan salt lamp attracts water from the air, which can contain mold, bacteria, and allergens.

    7. Inspiring Decorations & Art Work

Decorate your home with things that make you happy. Wall decorations with cute sayings like “Live, Laugh, Love,” “Live Your Dream,” or other inspiring quotes add positive vibes to any room. Inspiring images, quotes, or pictures of family and friends have the same uplifting effect. Your home is a direct extension of you, so design it to represent you well.
