China International Import Expo 2018 to demonstrate Emerging Pakistan as Theme

The Prime Minister will attend the opening ceremony of the First China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. Pakistan has been granted the status of“GuestofHonorCountry”.This will ensure the provision of all possible facilities and benefits to Pakistan pavilion. It is a special gesture of goodwill to Pakistan. The theme of “Emerging Pakistan” will fully demonstrate Pakistan’s development achievements and investment opportunities.  This vital move by the Chinese government will give strong support to trade liberalization and economic globalization and open the Chinese market to the world.

At present, more than 2,800 companies from more than 130 countries and regions have confirmed their participation to CIIE, including more than 200 world top 500 companies and industry leading enterprises.

More than 10 Pakistani companies will participate in the exhibition and more than 50 companies in the field of textile, rice and sports equipment will participate in the supply and demand docking activities.

Pakistani companies will take advantage of CIIE as a new platform for bilateral economic and trade cooperation, promote more Pakistani products and services entering the Chinese market, which will add new impetus to the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.

CIIE is a massive platform and one of a golden opportunity for Pakistan to present a good image and enhance global relations and trade activities. So let’s hope Pakistan avails it and makes the best out of it.
