DHA Quetta announces tender for underground electrical infrastructure and grid station design

A few days back, the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Quetta announced on its official Facebook page that it had opened a tender to hire a consultant to carry out underground electrical work, grid station design, and related deployment.

According to the details, qualified design consultancy firms with relevant expertise and credibility need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the DHA Quetta management by May 15, 2023.

The official social media page says that DHA Quetta is building the world's first Smart City, which is high-tech, self-sufficient, and eco-friendly. The government is focused on large-scale development projects, such as building infrastructure for residential and business districts.

In addition, the post includes the following conditions for the applicant firms:

• Incomplete submissions will be disregarded as non-responsive.
• Companies that aren't listed with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the DHA Quetta can't send in a proposal. (Interest companies can sign up with the TP&BC in DHA Quetta.)
• DHA Quetta has the right to accept or reject any of the submitted plans at any time before a bid or proposal is accepted without giving a reason.
