FBR allows provinces to launch new portal for filing income tax returns

During a state meeting led a couple of days back, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and income board representatives from the provinces consented to launch an online portal for filing sales tax returns on goods and services by August, according to news reports. This is another project launched under the government’s ease of doing business initiative. 

The commonplace income bodies gather charge on administrations, while the FBR gathers deals charge on items. The sales tax is then circulated based on the National Finance Commission equation to give the territories their offer. Thusly, citizens need to document five distinct returns making the procedure protracted. 

This step is a major change as citizens will now have the option to submit their returns effortlessly through one portal whenever the timing is ideal for both provincial revenue bodies and the FBR.
