Imran Khan Vision for Pakistan Urban Development for Green Future

Imran Khan shared his vision for Pakistan’s urban spaces and development of vertical landscaping to increase green spaces and protect the country’s arable land. Imran Khan explicitly stated his ideas for vertical high-rise buildings to free huge amounts of space for tree plantation and green landscaping as Pakistan is a target of environmentally threatened countries facing massive air pollution. He encouraged the construction of skyscraper towers and multi-story commercial buildings emphasizing on the urgency to create greener patches to conserve environment and eco-system.

His tweet reflected upon his notions that our arable land is consumed by housing societies that are likely to endanger food security in near future and laws should be enacted that allow for the construction of vertical buildings as per International Standards. He further stated that the development of high-rise buildings will produce Green Future for Pakistan increasing the aesthetics & beauty, also provide greater amenities to local citizens. So it’s time our country goes for Vertical Construction instead of congesting land areas by horizontal development of houses.

He added that there was a need to provide investment opportunities to overseas Pakistanis, particularly in the real estate business.
