The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), has announced to build Pakistan’s first ever digital city very soon. The digital city would be established in Haripur, a town situated behind Islamabad’s Margalla Hills.
Kamran Khan Bangash, who is the Special Assistant to Chief Minister K-P Mehmood Khan on Science & Technology and Information Technology tweeted that,
“Industrial revitalization in IT Sector is the cry of the day. We’re soliciting preliminary survey from National & International investors/industries for “Pakistan Digital City Haripur,” only 30 minutes’ drive from Islamabad,”
The Digital City, planned by Government of KPK, will offer competitive and developed land on lease basis to a diverse range of business and technology firms. The main aim of establishing the digital city is to provide a developed land to a diverse range of business and technology multinational companies on the lease basis.
