LDA demolishes more than 40 illegal constructions in the city

In the wake of continuing drive against encroachments, the Town Planning Wing of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) authorized the demolition of more than 40 illegal constructions in the city. The honorable Pakistani Courts had deemed plus 40 showrooms, plazas, and shops illegitimate and against the law.

The spokesperson in a conference said LDA pulled down illegal shops in OId Kahna, a building in Gajju Matah, two commercial buildings on Ferozepur Road, and remaining outlawed structures in various areas of the city. He further asked that LDA sealed unlicensed shops on Mader-e-Millat Road. During the crackdown against illegal constructions by LDA, Police officials were also present on the spot.

Director General LDA Chaudhry Muhammad Ali stated that the department would not condone any illegal construction in the city.
