Pakistan First Ever Plastic Road In Islamabad

You all know that Pakistan falls on the list of the top 10 countries most affected by the menace of global warming. Indeed, the Government of Pakistan deserves a huge round of applause for constructing the country's first-ever eco-friendly road made of plastic waste in Islamabad.

The renowned Interior Minister, Sheikh Rashid, inaugurated it a day ago. Briefing to media, he said more plastic roads would be fabricated in other cities of Pakistan. The authorities entail that the plastic roads would decrease the environmental pollution encircled with nasty smog levels and help people live in the city's neat and clean environment.

Islamabad's plastic road is a joint venture between multinational Coca-Cola Pakistan with the National Incubation Center (NIC) and the Capital Development Authority.

As per the official details, this plastic road is a 1-kilometre long patch of Ataturk Avenue. Ten tonnes of plastic bottles have been utilized for this project. The road is developed with a purpose to attain a duo solution, i.e., appropriate use of garbage and reduction of repercussions caused by global warming.

Islamabad is the only city that daily produces 700 tonnes of waste, including 150 tonnes of plastic waste, according to CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed. So, one can easily estimate how much our country possess in this regard. What is actually required now is dedication and financial dispensation!
