Pakistan Real Esate Industry Forum Suggest to Form a Committee of Stakeholders for Affordable Housing

The Pakistan Real Estate Investment Forum (PREIF) President Shaban Illahi stated that the government should form a committee of the stakeholders, instead of handing over the 5 million affordable housing plans to foreigners, a news source reported. He demanded that the committee should be composed of local builders, architects, developers and representatives of real estate.

He further stated that the government would need help of local stakeholders in identifying the properties for affordable housing scheme and estimate construction costs. He also states that infrastructure will also need to be developed for transport between the affordable housing projects that will be located in the outskirts of the city.
