Punjab government has decided to launch an app for all business-to-government (B2G) and open to-government (P2G) payments to encourage the majority and increase the revenue collection with an easy payment solution.
This has been uncovered by Punjab's Finance Minister, Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht, in a joint gathering of the money office and PITB at the Punjab Revenue Authority (PTA). Punjab Finance Department and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) are building up this application together.
“The program will allow people of Punjab to pay taxes using three different electronic payment channels; namely mobile banking, ATM and over the counter (OTC),” said the minister.
The minister opined that the application will be a useful option in contrast to the decades-old installment strategy that required physical visits to accumulation workplaces over the area for expense installments.
"Those visits expected clients to remain in long lines and trust that numerous hours will make good on their regulatory obligations. Such practices by implication empowered pay off and defilement, however, the cell phone application will enable clients to pay their contribution from the solace of their homes," he said.
In the primary stage, 12 diverse assessments of the Board of Revenue, Excise Department, Punjab Land Record Authority, and Industry Department will be paid by utilizing the application.
