RDA proposes economic zones along RRR route

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has proposed a few changes to the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) venture, according to a news report.

RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi said that the civic agency has recommended setting up economic zones proposed RRR project in a bid to advance business and industrial activities.

RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi said that the municipal organization has recommended setting up economic zones along with the proposed RRR project in a bid to promote business and industrial activities. Abbasi focused on the need to move fundamental markets into the financial zones proposed for the ring street venture. The provincial government will supposedly decide on the matter inside a month.

Moreover, work on the project is expected to commence in 2020 and the process to hire a consultant for RRR would be completed within a month’s timeframe.
