The Punjab Government has launched a flagship project with the name of Lahore Smart City to improve the urban lives of the people of Lahore by ensuring state-of-the-art communication, transportation facilities, and IT apparatus.
The claims of the Punjab Government entail the project will leave no stone unturned to achieve economic development and upgrade the living standards of the local area by incorporating smart applications.

The Lahore Smart City will ensure the expansion & development of cities, protection of life & property of citizens, and supply of modern health facilities considering the environmental repercussions.
Kamran Khan, Chief Operating Officer of Punjab Safe City Authority, has stated that the government has also approved Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) to set in motion a new project for car parking at Liberty Market and MM Alam Road.
