PTI’s Punjab Government is going to launch “Insaf Homes Scheme” project in the province aiming to provide low-priced homes to the homeless people. As per the scheme PTI is going to build almost 25 lacs homes in the whole province of Punjab including the capital Lahore while PM himself has given the task to construct homes in the record time of 2 months.
Insaf Homes Scheme Flats will be constructed in the 3 to 4 story buildings to accommodate as many homes in a limited land with 2 Marlas of living space designated for each flat while the slightly costlier houses will be in 3 to 4 Marlas housing schemes. The price of these units will range between PKR 800,000 and PKR 1,200,000 respectively. These houses or flats will be offered on a 10% to 25% down payment.
The homes will be provided to the people of Punjab province keeping in mind three categories,
”Constructing homes for the poor and middle class will not only provide them with a roof of their own, but it will help create an economic revolution in the country”, PM had earlier stated.
Although not officially announced, most probable first sites of flats in Lahore would be Wahdat road and Chuburji while the Insaf Homes Scheme could be constructed using the barren land along the M2 motorway.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan also assured that the government will introduce one window system where houses are provided to people on merit and without any bureaucratic hurdles.
